We are currently looking to recruit two new volunteer committee members.

Your local village hall needs you!

Background

Horton and Chalbury Village Hall is a charity that provides and maintains a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parishes of Horton and Chalbury and surrounding areas without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

HCVH is governed by a volunteer Management Committee.

Volunteer Vacancies

We have two positions available on our management committee, one to oversee the facilities management and one to oversee the business administration (covering bookings, general administration and IT/Website).

An operational, paid member of staff would report directly to each of these committee members.

What are we looking for?

  • Introduction of increased support for the management team.
  • Enthusiasm to support a well known local institution.
  • Attendance at approx. 10 meetings per annum (approx. two hours each).
  • Approx one hour per week for facilities and two hours per week for business administration at times to suit.

What can you expect?

  • Making a difference to the people of Horton and Chalbury and surrounding areas.
  • Use your skills where they are needed.
  • Meet new people.
  • Help support the work of HCVH.
  • Contribute to decision making involved in the development of HCVH.

If you are interested in either position and would like an informal chat, please email your contact details to Claire Robinson: treasurer@hortonandchalburyvillagehall.com and we will arrange a convenient time to meet.
