DESCRIPTION:Attending an emergency at Kingston Lacey                                                                                                                                                                                                                   \nDorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a registered charity\, providing emergency services to the people of Dorset and Somerset.  \nSince the launch in 2000 they have flown more than 12\,000 missions  and can attend up to eight or nine incidents in a single day. \nTheir airbase is situated at Henstridge Airfield on the Dorset/Somerset border. From there\, they can be at any point in the two counties in less than 20 minutes. More importantly\, the helicopter can\, if required\, then take a patient to the nearest Major Trauma Centre in the South West within a further 20 minutes. \nThey receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery and rely on the generosity of the public for support. Their operational costs are over £2.5 million a year and the approximate cost per mission is £3\,000.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Bonny is a member of the ‘Yetties’ folk group\, founded as schoolboys with friends from the Dorset village of Yetminster. Turning professional in 1967 the band enjoyed world wide success\, only retiring in April 2011.  There final gig was\, appropriately\,  in Sherborne.  \nBonny is an accomplished speaker\, singer and natural entertainer and delights audiences with stories and anecdotes that he has collected.  \nThe Yetties are one of England’s most popular folk groups. Their obvious love of the West Country\, it’s songs\, stories and humour wins them friends wherever they go. \nSince turning professional in 1967 their music and their enthusiasm has taken them far beyond the villages of Dorset. They have travelled extensively in Europe and\, under the auspices of the British Council\, have performed successfully worldwide.  \nThey have recorded no less than 45 albums for different companies.  \nThey have had a regular series on BBC Radio 2 called ‘Cider & Song’ and have numerous other Radio and TV appearances to their credit. They possible the only performers to have worked on BBC Radios 1\, 2\, 3\, 4 and 5. \nYour Ticket will include a delicious afternoon tea. \n
